In the Muslim Women in Travel 2019 report, we determined the top OIC and non-OIC destinations that are safe for Muslim women travelers based on the GMTI 2019 scores and rankings. The two most important criteria for this demographic are their personal safety and restrictions on faith-based practices, especially when it comes to wearing Islamic attire.

Here are the top 10 OIC destinations:

1. Qatar

2. Oman

3. Brunei

4. Turkey

5. United Arab Emirates

6. Kuwait

7. Maldives

8. Uzbekistan

9. Indonesia

10.  Malaysia

Qatar is ranked first, followed by Oman and Brunei for OIC destinations. These destinations are safe for Muslim women to travel and have no faith restrictions.

Listed below are the top 5 non-OIC destinations:

1. Taiwan

2. Singapore

3. South Korea

4. Japan

5. Thailand

Taiwan is ranked first, followed by Singapore and South Korea. These destinations have ranked high overall in GMTI scores, have a safe travel climate for Muslim women travelers, and have no restrictions on public religious dressing.
