The first edition of the Halal Travel Glossary has been released in English and publications of the glossary in multiple other languages are to be expected in the near future. Regular updates will be made to the glossary as the market matures.

Malaysia took the top spot on the list, for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) destinations while Singapore came first for the non-OIC destinations.
The study also revealed that in 2014, this segment was worth $145 billion with 108 million Muslim travellers representing 10% of the entire tourism economy.
This is forecasted to grow to 150 million visitors by 2020 and 11% of the market segment with a market value projected to grow to $200 billion.
At this year’s ATM 2015 in Dubai, CrescentRating launched the first ever global platform to connect the industry to the growing demand for one of the fastest growing sectors in travel.
