The United States is beginning to recognise the market potential offered by the millions of Muslims living in the country. The American-Muslim Consumer Conference, organised by MLink, is being held at the end of the month in order to help advertisers and PR companies reach out to the Muslim population in the US.

Advertising in America is usually targeted at non-Muslims, using imagery and themes that many Muslims may find untenable.

The Conference is aimed at showing industry professionals how they may tailor advertising to lure Muslim consumers who pay close attention to Halal requirements.
