Halal Tourism Conference 2016 to Take Place in Turkey

Apr 2016

Turkey is set to host the second international Halal Tourism Conference from the 3rd to the 5th of May 2016, following the huge success of the first conference in 2014. The three-day event will take place in Konya - at the Mevlana Cultural Center - and will bring together the global travel industry to discuss ways to capitalize on the Muslim travel market - one of the fastest growing sectors in the world.

The event is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from around the world - including numerous tourism boards, travel agencies, tour operators, media, hotels and airlines. The conference this year will also see the presence of Hajj and Umrah providers, as well as financial institutions, tourism project managers and consultants who are keen on reaching out to the Muslim travel market.

CrescentRating has been named an official knowledge partner of the event, which will feature expert speakers from around the world to discuss how the Halal tourism sector can be  further developed to meet the needs of the Muslim travel market. The event will also include several keynote speeches, panel discussions and workshops.

The event hopes to offer in-depth industry insights and perspectives in understanding the global Halal tourism market - with a focus on further developing the industry - and allows industry experts to share information on the aspects that are required in order to better appeal to the Muslim travel market.

The conference itself will last for two days, while the exhibition will last for three days – with the final day being open to trade and public. Over 100 exhibitors – both from Turkey and the rest of the world – are expected to attend the event.

Those who wish to be a part of the event may register themselves on the official website of Halal Tourism Conference 2016, in order to meet and network with industry experts and other Halal tourism professionals. The official website also offers more information about the venue, sponsors and exhibitors.

The Muslim travel market continues to be one of the fastest growing segments in the global travel industry. In 2015, it was estimated that there were 117 million Muslim international travelers. This is projected to grow to 168 million by 2020, where the travel expenditure by Muslim travelers is expected to exceed USD 200 billion.
