Following the launch of the Mastercard-CrescentRating Indonesia Muslim Travel Index 2018 (IMTI2018), the ten provinces designated for Halal Tourism in Indonesia were given a three-month period to improve their performances. Their progress were measured and bench marked against the GMTI ACES criteria and recorded in this report which is the second edition of IMTI known as IMTI2019. While all the provinces have shown progress, there are still areas for improvements.
In partnership with the Ministry of Tourism Indonesia, this report reveals comprehensive and deep insights on each province's positioning against global Halal Tourism standards.
