Hotel WO was inspired by the design concept of “Wo,” which literally means “Cozy Home” in Chinese. HOTEL (COZY HOME)
Located on Qixian 2nd Rd., HOTEL WO was formally known as Buckingham Hotel – once a landmark from Kaohsiung. It was restructured and carefully constructed as a boutique hotel in March 2013 by CID Group. The 12-story high HOTEL WO features the HOTEL LOBBY and LONG BAR on the ground floor, “Feast” Jiangzhe Restaurant on the 2nd floor, and guest rooms on the remaining floors.
The highly fashionable LOBBY is highlighted with a tranquil and elegant atmosphere with mirrored ceilings, Arabian white stone decorations, and distinctive stylish furniture for an overall European feel. The LOBBY is also decorated with renowned sculptures done by maestro “Li Chen,” Chinese brush paintings by “Gao Xingjian,” and graphic art by “Takashi Murakami,” converting it into a world-class mini museum. The hotel will cooperate with both domestic and foreign artists to occasionally display their latest art creations.
Guest Rooms
123 guest rooms are available on the 3rd to 12th floors, all of them providing modern yet simple and cozy designs. They emphasize an exclusive “Cozy Home” feeling, where the wooden walls are naturally carved and the headboards are decorated with candle chandeliers, so that guests can sleep at ease. Some rooms are adorned with LED lights embellished with colored glasses, and some even come with a daring see-through bathroom enclosure, surprising you every time you stay with us!
The Presidential Suite is located at the end of the 8th floor’s corridor and features a 20-ping interior that is decorated with Bottega Veneta branded luxury penthouse grandeur. The most stunning of all is its exclusive 30-ping outdoor garden terrace and small wading pool, giving our most honored guests the opportunity to enjoy a moment of unique VIP pleasure.
The DIning Hall
This dining establishment provides the most familiar tastes of old Kaohsiung, a continuation of exquisite craftsmanship of old Jiangzhe masters to provide authentic Jiangzhe dishes. You will surely be delighted by the elegantly designed environment and the outstanding cuisine.
