Situated in the Great Lakes Region of the Midwest is the state of Wisconsin

Bordered by Lake Michigan in the east and St Croix River in the west, Wisconsin is a beautiful state with over 15,000 lakes and miles of trails, rivers and streams. The countryside of Wisconsin is quite varied with sandy beaches, forests, farmland and sandstone cliffs.

There are a few Masaajid in Wisconsin. Almost all the major cities in the state have Masaajid. The capital Milwaukee has a number of Masaajid, the major ones being the Islamic Society of Milwaukee and Masjid Sultan Muhammad. Madison too has a few Islamic centers such as the Islamic Center of Madison and the Masjid As-Sunnah.

The state capital Madison is a wonderful city to spend some time at. The capitol building in the city has one of the largest domes in the world. There are also a number of museums that you can visit in the city. The city of Milwaukee has a number of interesting attractions including the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Milwaukee Public Museum. Milwaukee hosts a number of festivals including the Summerfest, the largest music festival in the world.

A famous travel destination in central Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Dells is known for its beautiful rock formations and water parks. It is about an hour away from Madison and features one of the largest water parks, the Noah's Ark. The area has something for everyone to enjoy. Experience some exclusive views of nature when visiting the Door County. The Peninsula State Park in the region is especially important because of its pretty beaches, campsites and observation tower. Throughout the state there are numerous fun activities that visitors can enjoy.

Shopping in Wisconsin is a wonderful experience. From museum shops to farmer's markets and antique stores you can find a number of interesting places to shop. The historic Mineral Point is a great place to shop for local artwork and pottery. If you are looking for decorative gift items then the Water Street shopping district in Princeton is a great place to shop. If you want to enjoy excellent lake views along with shopping then visit Bayfield, located on the shores of the Lake Superior. The Third Ward district in Milwaukee is excellent for some trendy shopping.

The Milwaukee metro area has a number of halal restaurants. A number of these restaurants serve Middle Eastern, Turkish, fusion and also American food. Regardless of what suits your taste buds you can find a halal restaurant in Wisconsin. Visitors can contact the Masjid to know the exact location of the halal restaurants. Usually the halal restaurants carry a halal certificate but some places just confirm verbally that they provide halal food.

Getting around Wisconsin is pretty easy. The state offers a good connectivity of buses and trains. Getting a car rental in Wisconsin is also a great idea of traveling around conveniently. Before you take a car rental make sure that you are aware of the rules of driving.
