Popular for its theme parks and home to "the happiest place on Earth", Disneyland, Anaheim, California is a thrilling destination for travelers. In the early 20th century, Anaheim was famous mostly for its Orange orchards, but after the establishment of the Disneyland Resort, the city soon transformed into a paramount family destination.

Anaheim is occupied by a number of Muslim immigrants who hail from the Middle East, Caribbean, Africa and Europe. The Islamic Center of Anaheim doubles as an Islamic center as well as the main masjid for the Muslims there. The masjid conducts numerous Islamic lectures and is involved with a range of Dawah activities.

Halal food can be found in assorted locations throughout the city. Halal restaurants that serve Indian, Pakistani and American cuisine are more common while a few Turkish and Mediterranean restaurants can be found in the city. The increasing population of Muslims in the city has resulted in the mushrooming of quite a few Halal restaurants.

Anaheim may not be overloaded with cultural attractions but it houses an assortment of museums; the Anaheim Museum is great place to learn about the rich local history while the popular Movieland Wax Museum is a favorite with the kids. Other interesting museums include Joe's Automotive Museum and the Muzeo. A number of art galleries are also available in Anaheim and carry works from artists across the state.

Some of the city's historic landmarks and monuments include the Anaheim House, which displays the historic American Red Cross exhibit, and the Mother Colony House, which is one of the oldest ranch-era homes in the city. Another interesting attraction is The Richard Nixon Library, which is the birthplace of the former President, and exhibits objects from his life.

Disneyland is the main attraction of the city; a massive theme park, it is composed of a number of attractions that are suitable for visitors of all age groups. From entertainment for toddlers to shopping and unique dining experiences for adults, visitors are bound to have a great time. The park has developed over the years and has attracted millions of visitors.

A shopper's delight, Anaheim has everything from upscale shopping malls to bargain centers and several exclusive shopping options in between. The Indoor Marketplace, Asian Garden Mall, Block at Orange, Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza and the Old Towne Orange Historical District are great places to enjoy shopping in the city.
