On the eastern side of the Grand Canyon Village is the Visitor Center of Information Plaza that also has a souvenir shop. Travellers can clear all their queries about the park at this visitor center. Travellers can also take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon that takes them over the Hoover Dam and the rim of Grand Canyon.
The Bright Angel Point is a scenic trail that offers some of the best views of the Grand Canyon. This trail lasts for about 1 mile. The Bright Angel Trailhead is one of the best known hiking trails in the area. The trail leades to over 5,500 feet and it is advised that visitors carry water and food during their journey.
On the northern end of the Grand Canyon is the Cape Royal that serves as an excellent viewpoint. Not far from here is the forested Cliff Springs Trail and the Grand Canyon's Angels Window Overlook. The Kaibab Plateau also on the northern end of the Grand Canyon has a scenic route starting at the Jacob Lake and leading to the plateau through a forested route. Travellers can enjoy several activities at the lake, horseback riding and also wildlife viewing.
One of the must visit places in Grand Canyon is the well-preserved El Tovar Hotel at the South Rim. The Mather Point is another popular viewing point. Close to Marble Canyon are the Vermilion Cliffs that stand at 3,000 feet. The Trailview Overlook is another exciting trail that offers views of the Grand Canyon National Park.
