Situated in Florida, Orange County is home to the Disney World Resort and the city of Orlando, which dominates most of the county. Orange County is mostly recognized by its theme parks and wonderful attractions.

 Orange County is diverse in population and there are quite a number of Muslims that live in the area. There are many Muslims in the suburban areas of Orlando especially around Pine Hills, Orla Vista and Eatonville. There are number of Islamic organizations in Florida. The Islamic Center of Orlando or the Jama Masjid is the main masjid in the area and is close to Downtown Disneyland. The masjid is open for daily prayers and the Jumu'ah Salaat. Travellers can also visit the Islamic Society of Central Florida in Orlando to get information on masaajid and halal dining in the region.

Halal restaurants are available across the region. Visitors can easily locate Pakistani, Indian and Moroccan restaurants in the Orange County especially in Orlando. Travellers can enjoy some delicious south Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine. Mediterranean food is also available at a few restaurants.

Throughout the Orange County there are numerous parks and nature preserves where travellers can have a great time. Some of these parks include Shadow Bay Park and Bill Frederick Park at the Turkey Lake and Kelly Park and Moss Park. Many of these parks have recreational facilities like camping, boating, fishing, etc.

Theme parks are the specialty of the area. Visit the Walt Disney World to enjoy a great experience. The resort is located in the Lake Buena Vista area and has several districts. Visitors can enjoy exciting rides or enjoy a game at the golf course. Moving through Walt Disney Resort is easy as most of it is accessible on foot or travellers can even opt to take public transport like buses, monorail and ferries.

There are four theme parks inside the resort that are suitable for people of all ages. Visitors can also stop by to watch numerous stage performances, visit characters, fireworks and also shop during their stay in the resort. Each ride at the resort has a story to tell. It is better for travellers to go through the guide maps so that they can plan their visit accordingly. The Magic Kingdom is the center of attraction in the resort. This theme park is built around Cinderella Castle and is the oldest in the resort. Epcot is an education park and is made of two areas namely the Future World and World Showcase. Another park is the Disneyland Hollywood Studios and lastly there is the Disney Animal Kingdom. There are also two water parks, the Blizzard Beach and the Typhoon Lagoon. Downtown Disney is the best place for shopping.

Orlando is one of the most important cities in the Orange County and also serves as the county seat. Popular for citrus fruits, the city is also the home to SeaWorld Orlando and the Universal Orlando Resort. Fun doesn't stop at the SeaWorld; visitors can also have a good time at Discovery Cove, Aquatica, Gatorland and Wet ‘N Wild. Orlando also has a number of museums including the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, which houses one of the best collections of work from Louis Comfort Tiffany. The other museums in the city are Orlando Science Center, Cornell Fine Arts Museum, Orange County Regional History Center and Orlando Museum of Art. Shopping in Orlando can be enjoyed at some of the best malls of Florida including the Florida Mall, Mall at Millenia and the Orlando fashion Square.
