Nepal is an affordable shopping destination. Colorful stalls attract the attention of travelers. Look for local handicrafts, woolen carpets, paper products, clothes and jewelry. Kathmandu is the focal point of Nepal shopping; Thamel, Lazimpat, Asan and New Road are some good places to shop. Pokhra also has some good shopping facilities.
Muslims form the third largest religion in the country after Hinduism and Buddhism. Downtown Kathmandu has a large Jama Masjid.
