GEOGRAPHY

Situated in Central Europe, Liechtenstein is one of only two doubly landlocked countries in the world. Bordered to the east by Austria and to the south and west by Switzerland, it has a total land area of 160 square kilometres.

DEMOGRAPHY

A population of close to 36,010. Muslims account for about 4.8% of the population.

CLIMATE

The country is surounded by the the European Alps. The southerly winds make the climate of Liechtenstein comparatively mild. Liechtenstein is well suited for winter soprts in winter.

German is the official language. Italian and Turkish are widely used as well.
