Tabriz has served as the capital of Iran under various dynasties and hence has a variety of historic monuments from different periods.
Located in central Iran, Yazd is an ancient city and the capital of the Yazd Province. The presence of the city can be dated to the Sassanian Period (224-651 AD). The old town area still preserves its charm with old mud brick houses and winding lanes. The city is located between northern Dasht-e Kavir and southern Dasht-e Lut and boasts of natural surroundings.
