Situated near the marina Cayo Largo is the Cayo Largo Turtle Farm. This turtle farm aims at conserving and protecting turtles. As a part of their program, they collect turtle eggs from beaches all around the island and get them back to the farm for hatching.

After the eggs have hatched, baby turtles are returned to the wild at safer beaches. The farm raises different species of turtles including Loggerheads, Green Turtles, and Hawksbill Turtles.
