Located between Java and Lombok is the fascinating island of Bali, Indonesia. Bali is the most visited tourist destination of Indonesia and is well known for its arts, sculpture, metalwork and leather. The largest city of Bali is Denpasar situated on the southern coast. Ubud situated north of Denpasar is the cultural hub of the island. Adventure lovers can enjoy surfing, scuba diving and exploring the coral reef around the area. Bali is known for its pristine beaches and wonderful sceneries.

 

There are a number of Msaaajid in Bali. Some of these include Masjid Jami' Mujahidin Tanjung Benoa, Masjid Besar Al-Hidayah, Masjid Al-Falah and Masjid Darussalam in Denpasar. There are also several restaurants that serve Halal food in the area, but it is important to confirm before eating.

 

There are a plenty of museums all around the island. Some of these museums worth visiting include Museum Semarajaya, Museum Puri Lukisan, Agung Rai Museum of Art, Museum Negeri Propinsi and the Neka Museum. The Waterborn Amusement Park is the best amusement park on the island of Bali where the children can enjoy several activities.

There are also several Sea Safari Cruises and places for fishing where travellers can have a great time with their families. Some of the historical places that preserve the history of Bali include the Kertagosa, on the roof of which is paintings telling story about the everyday life of the region.

The parks and gardens in Bali are also good places to spend some quality time. Some of the parks include the Eka Karya Botanic Garden Bali and the Bali Treetop Adventure Park. Apart from scenic parks, there are also several natural preserves on the island including the Bird Park of Bali, The Bali Butterfly Park Taman Kupu Kupu, Reptile Park of Rimba, the Taman National Bali Barat and the Taman Burung.

Celuk is the largest silver producing village of Bali and is the center for gold and silver handicrafts. To see the real beauty of nature travellers should visit Bukit Jambul, here you can see the perfect combination of valleys, beautiful panoramas of sea, hills and green fields.

Bali also has some fabulous markets and shopping malls. Kumbasari Market in Denpasar is a great place to shop for traditional Indonesian goods. The Jalan Hasanuddin in Denpasar is where you can shop for gold. In Ubud you can shop for handicrafts and traditional goods. The Kuta Art Market also offers a variety of goods.

The island has some world-class malls including the Matahari Department Stores at Denpasar, the Bali Mal Galeria at Kuta and the Galeria at Nusa Dua.
