Shanghai
One of the must see destinations of China, Shanghai is situated in central and eastern China overlooking the East China Sea. The literal meaning of Shanghai is “City by the Sea”. One of the most important business destinations of Asia, there are several attractions in the city that can be of interest to a Muslim traveler. The city is roughly divided into two areas namely the Pudong area, which is on the east side of the Huangpu River and the Puxi area, which is on the western side of the Huangpu River. Visitors can see most of the attractions in the Puxi area. The Pudong area is a relatively new development zone.
There are several places that one can visit in Shanghai. Some of these include the Yuyuan Garden, the Bund and the Shanghai Museum. It usually takes three complete days to visit the city thoroughly. If you are wondering about the Halal food availability in the city then be assured, there are several Halal restaurants where you can savor delicious food but do assure the authenticity before eating.
