Germany is located in Central Europe. It covers a total area of 357,021 km2 including 7,798 km2 of water. Germany is the seventh largest country by area in Europe.

Most of the country's climate is temperate. Although summer temperatures can exceed 30 °C it tend to be cool with rainfall. Winters are generally mild.
