Located in central Germany in the state of Hesse, the city of Frankfurt is known to have the largest airport of the country and a high-tech skyline

Situated on the banks of the River Main, Frankfurt is also the financial hub of the country. The city hosts some of the most important trade shows such as the Frankfurt book fair and the Frankfurt auto show. Frankfurt is a wonderful metropolitan city and for many it is the first stop in Germany.

Frankfurt has a considerable population of Muslims and there are quite a number of Masaajid in the city. Especially around the main station you can find a number of Masaajid. The Noor Masjid in the city is one of the main Masaajid. The Abu Bakr Masjid, American Islamic Association and the Taqwa Masjid are among the other popular Masaajid in the city.

The historic core of the city is the main attractions for the visitors. Here you can see buildings dating from the 14th and 15th century. There are also beautiful gardens in the same area. Frankfurt has numerous museums that are worth visiting. A number of museums can be found along the banks of the River Main in the district called Museumsufer. If you are a museum lover it is better to take a Museumsufer Card.

Frankfurt has a beautiful skyline. The city houses some of the tallest buildings in Europe. There are several viewing platforms from where you can get excellent views of the city skyline. The Main Tower is the prime viewing platform. Frankfurt also has nice gardens and parks where visitors can have fun. The Palm Garden is the main botanic garden of the city that holds several exhibitions. Locals are often seen relaxing in the Gruneburg Park. The Frankfurt Zoo is well worth a visit.

If you are visiting the city during the summers then a walk along the Main River is an excellent thing to do. You can relax with a coffee at one of the cafes and enjoy the view. There are several theatres in the city where you can watch performances.

Frankfurt is a wonderful place to enjoy shopping. From extravagant shopping to affordable purchases, you can find almost everything in the city. Zeli is the prime shopping area in the city. Visitors can find numerous departmental stores and shopping complexes around this area. Around the cathedral area, visitors can find antique shops. The Flea Market that is held every Sunday is worth seeing. Whether you are looking for clothes, jewellery, chocolates or souvenirs, you can find it all in Frankfurt.

Halal food can easily be found in Frankfurt. Before dining, visitors should confirm with the owner of the restaurant about the halal authenticity of the restaurant. One can find some good Indian, Pakistani, Turkish and Mediterranean outlets. When dining one must try the famous Frankfurter Gruene Sosse is a rich green sauce made out of several herbs.

Frankfurt boasts of an excellent underground train system. Trams and buses also offer good connectivity. Getting a taxi is also quite easy in the city. Bikes are available for rent in the city and are a good means of exploring the area.
