Itineraries: There are two types of itineraries that the E & O Express offers.
The Classic Journeys:
Bangkok to Singapore 4 days/3 nights: This trip takes you through the exclusive sceneries of Thailand and across the fabulous River Kwai further on to Malaysia. Visitors can enjoy exclusive views of colonial Georgetown and Fort Cornwallis, before passing the causeway over the Straits of Johor into Singapore.
Singapore to Bangkok 3 days/2 nights: Right from impressive Singapore to thrilling Bangkok the train journeys through the heart of South-East Asia. The train crosses the famous colonial Georgetown, Fort Cornwallis and also River Kwai.
Chronicles of South East Asia Journeys:
Epic Thailand (Bangkok to Chiang Mai) 7 days/ 6 nights: The train takes guests through some of the best areas of Thailand such as Isan Village, Prasat Sikhoraphum, Phanom Rung, Chiang Mai and the Khao Yai National Park.
Fabled Hills (Singapore to Bangkok) 7 days/ 6 nights: This journey takes visitors through the best stops from Singapore to Thailand. The journey includes visits to Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands, Penang, Tham Kasae Viaduct, and also River Kwai.
Tales of Laos (Bangkok to Laos) 4 days/ 3 nights: Enjoy exploring the true beauty of Thailand and Laos through this fabulous trip. The journey takes visitors through the lush jungles including the Phimai, Khao Yai National Park, and the Friendship Bridge over the Mekong River.
Cabins: The E&O Express has three types of cabins namely the Pullman Cabins, State Cabins and Presidential Suites. Each of the cabins is equipped with amenities like air-conditioned, en-suite bathrooms, 24-hour steward service, international electric sockets, personal safe and hairdryers.
Dining: The E&O Express has two dining cars that serve Eastern and European cuisine. Currently, they do not serve Halal Food. The chefs can cook any specific dietary needs on special request. The tables in the dining car have tables seating 2 or 4 people.Breakfast and afternoon tea are served in the compartments, for lunch and dinner guests have to dine in the restaurant cars.
Observation Car: Guests onboard the E&O Express can enjoy some of the most captivating landscapes of South East Asia from the Observation Deck attached with the E&O Express. The observation deck has been designed to provide a colonial veranda-like ambience.
Boutique: The E&O Express also features a wonderful boutique that offers a range of souvenirs and gift items that guests can make purchases from.
The cost of the tickets for E&O Express depends on the coach and the type of journey that you opt for.
