Muslims in Sheffield can enjoy the many Galleries, Museums and various other Attractions

Admired as the home of cutlery, Sheffield is a city of international reputation located in South Yorkshire, England. The city today is one of the main industrial centers and a cosmopolitan center. Sheffield is surrounded by seven hills and is beautifully landscaped; it is home to the largest artificial ski resort in Europe.

The city center of Sheffield has a number of attractions. The Millennium Galleria is the largest art gallery in the city and houses several art work from the past and present designers. The Winter Garden is home to several varieties of ferns and cacti enclosed within a glass and timber chamber. Next to the Town Hall is the Peace Gardens that has beautiful rising and falling fountains. The Norfolk Heritage Trail takes visitors along several historical buildings. The Tudor Square and Graves Gallery are other attractions in the city center.

The Sheffield Botanical Gardens is a recently restored Victorian style gardens is a great escape from the hustle bustle of city life. The Kelham Island Museum houses the social and industrial history of Sheffield. The Weston Park Museum is a modern museum excellent for children. The Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet is where visitors can see the early industrial history of Sheffield.

London Road is a bustling Chinese and Turkish area where visitors can find a number of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Canal Basin is an impressive basin where travellers can see several colorful narrowboats. The Sheffield Ski Village is an exciting place to have fun at; the area has the largest outdoor artificial ski slope to enjoy a range of snow activities.

Most of the shopping in Sheffield is around the city center. The Castle Market area is a huge indoor market and is a great place to shop. The High Street has a number of boutiques. The Meadowhall is one of the largest and most impressive shopping centers. The Ecclesall Road in the suburbs of Sheffield has several fashion shops and restaurants.Hillsborough is also a huge shopping area in the city.

The Sheffield Islamic Center and Madinah Masjid is the main masjid in the city. There are a number of halal restaurants in the city, mostly providing South Asian cuisines. There are a number of Fish n Chips stalls too that are widely popular in the city.

The city center of Sheffield is pedestrian friendly and most of the attractions in this area can easily be accessed on foot. The Stagecoach Supertram is a modern tram network in the city and is an affordable and convenient means of transport in the city. Buses are also a convenient mode to travel in the city. Taxis and car rentals are also easily available.
