Tunisia is a North African country situated between Algeria and Libya, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Tunisia has great environmental diversity due to its north-south extent.

Hot summers and mild winters. During summer, the temperature can exceed even up to 40 °C. Winter temperatures rarely exceeds above 20 °C.

Introduction to Tunisia

Tunisia A striking combination of old and new, the spectacular African country of Tunisia is a must visit destination. Tunisia is flanked by, Algeria and Libya and sits in the heart of the Mediterranean. The deep blue sea and the golden beaches are the first draw for any traveller who visits the country. Any season is great to visit Tunisia.

The capital of Tunisia, Tunis is situated along the Mediterranean coast and is a marvellous city to visit. Tunis is sectioned into two areas, the old city called Medina and the new city or ville nouvelle in French.

The Zitouna Masjid in Tunis is the largest Masjid in Tunisia and is one of the main landmarks in the city. Other places worth visiting are Bardo Museum, Dar Ben Abdallah a small museum, Bab el Bahr, Bab Saadoun and the Belvedere Park. Travellers can walk around the city and see some ancient buildings and Masaajid spread across the area.
