Colombo, Sri Lanka : According to a recent communique by All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulema (ACJU), the Halal certification body in Sri Lanka, Barista Coffee Lanka Pvt Ltd is no longer certified Halal by ACJU. Malaysia based Firefly, announced additional flights to various destinations in Malaysians during Hari Raya (Eid-ul-Fitr). In a statement issued Thursday, Firefly said it was offering additional flights from Subang to Kota Bharu on Sept 17, 18, 19, 26 and 27, and Subang to Alor Setar on Sept 18 and 19.  
SAMI (Socially Acceptable Market Investments) Halal Food Index and the SAMI Halal Participation Index (compliant with AAOIFI criteria) were launched at the recently concluded World Halal Forum in Kuala Lumpur. This World's first Halal Food indexes are initial steps to bring together the Halal Industry and the Islamic Finance Industry.
It may be hard to find Halal Food in Japan, but not for them at the Kyoto University! Japan is one of the hardest places to find halal food, but if you are a Muslim student at Kyoto University, it will be a lot easier. The university will start serving halal meals at its cafeteria to meet the needs of a growing number of Muslim students.
