Written by  Crescentrating

Skiing, Snowboarding, Ice Skating - Find it all at the Swiss Alps

The Swiss Alps has some of the most dramatic landscapes of Switzerland and also offers excellent enjoyment time for visitors during summers as well as winters. The first ever ski resort in the world was opened in the Swiss Alps and since then several resorts have opened in the area. Every year thousands of visitors visit the Swiss Alps to enjoy world-class skiing.

Today the Swiss Alps are well-served by mountain railways and ski lifts. The area also has some renowned ski schools and instructors. The slopes of the Swiss Alps cater to skiers of all levels. The best point for families and beginners is Grindelwald in the Jungfrau region. Intermediate skiers and snowboarders can head for the twin resorts of Davos and Klosters. Expert skiers can enjoy a great time at the Klein Matterhorn at Zermatt and at the ski valley of Verbier. The best time to enjoy skiing is between January and March.

The resorts in the Alps provide food, however they do not provide Halal delicacies. Muslim travelers should either carry their own supply of food or opt for vegetarian meals from trusted establishments. There are many masjids in Switzerland for Muslim travelers.
