GEOGRAPHY

Spain is situated in southwestern Europe and covers a total area is 504,782 km2. The Teide in the Canary Islands is the highest mountain of Spain and the third largest volcano in the world from its base.

A population of close to 46 Million. Muslims account for about 3% of the population.

CLIMATE

The climate in Spain varies by location. Summers are dry and warm in the peninsulas. In the northern part of the country, is an oceanic climate and the dry season extends beyond summer in the southeastern part of the country.

Spanish is the the official language. Basque, Catalan, Galician and Occitan are widely used as well.
