GEOGRAPHY
Peru is situated in the central western coast of South America. It shares borders with Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Peru has a land area of 1,285,216 km2.
DEMOGRAPHY
A population of close to 29 Million. Muslims account for about 0.1% of the population.
CLIMATE
The climate of Peru varies form regons. It is subtropical with little rain fall in the Coasts and the highlands observe a cool-to-cold climate with rainy summers and very dry winters. In the lowlands the the climate is generally hot.
LANGUAGES SPOKEN
Spanish is the official language. Quechua and Aymara are widely used as well.
