Jawa Sumatra
Moving along the Malay coast, the convoy of Ibn Battuta anchored at the port city of Samudra, the Sumatran Port. He spent a few weeks on the island and left for China in April 1346. Ibn Battuta also refers to the island as Java.

Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta
The largest Mosque in South East Asia, Istiqlal Mosque, was built to commemorate the independence of Indonesia from Dutch rule. "Istiqlal" means "Independence" in Arabic. The construction started in 1961 and was completed in 1978. The Masjid can accomodate a congregation of 120,000 people.
The interior of the Masjid is kept very simple.
Bintan Island overview
One of the Riau Islands of Indonesia, Bintan is a vibrant island and is located about 45 minutes by ferry from Singapore. The Bintan Island is the largest island in the archipelago of the Riau Islands. Today Bintan is one of the most visited travel destinations of Indonesia and has a number of interesting places for travelers to explore.
