GEOGRAPHY
Gambia is a small and narrow country situated in the west of Africa. With a total area of 11,300 km² Gambia is the smallest country on the continent of Africa.
DEMOGRAPHY
A population of close to 1.7 Million. Muslims account for about 90% of the population.
CLIMATE
Tropical with distinct cool and hot seasons. There is a dry weather with temperatures as low as 16 °C from November to mid-May. From June to October temperatures may rise as high as 43 °C.
LANGUAGES SPOKEN
English is the official language. Mandinka and Wolof are widely used as well.
