The airport at Trinidad and Tobago allows you to start your holiday off with a bang!

Trinidad and Tobago is officially called the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and is an island country located in the southern Caribbean. The country shares its maritime boundaries with Barbados, Guyana and Venezuela. Spreading over 5,128 square kilometers, the country has two main islands Trinidad and Tobago. There are several other smaller landforms too. Trinidad is the larger and the more populous of the two islands.

Trinidad and Tobago is one of the most visited travel destinations in the Caribbean and has a lot of attractions to see and adventurous activities to enjoy. Reaching the island is easy as there are two international airports: the Piarco International Airport, which is the main operating airport in Trinidad and Tobago, and the other is the Crown Point Airport in Tobago.

The Piarco International Airport is located in Piarco, about 25 km east of the capital Port of Spain. The airpot provides direct services to destinations in Canada, United States, South America, Central America and Europe. The Piarco Airport is also hub for the Caribbean Airlines and the third hub for Leeward Islands Air Transport. The airport is situated close to Centento, Caroni, St. Helena, Kelly Village and Chin Chin Savanna Village. Visitors can enjoy great views of mountains landscape and the neighboring Savannah.

The airport also features an excellent atrium area that is completed with a glass dome. The airport has one terminal with three concourse areas. The building was renovated in 2001 and is managed by the regional Airport Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. The airport has banking facilities with the First Citizens Bank providing excellent services to travelers. Car rentals and taxi services are available 24/7 for the convenience of visitors. There are several duty free shops on the airport that travelers can visit for an excellent shopping experience. From jewelry and perfumes to beauty products, visitors can find it all. There is also a bookshop and a florist available. Local arts and gifts can be purchased from Karie's Kraft Ltd.

The food and beverages available at the airport are mostly Halal. Visitors can dine at the Royal Castle, Rituals Coffee House, Church's Chicken and Ali's Candy Shop, which are certified. These diners were certified at the time this article was written. Please clarify with the owners the Halal status of their kitchen/ food before dining.

The Crown Point International Airport is located in Tobago, on the southwestern part of the island. It is close to the town of Canaan about 11Km from the capital of Scarborough. The Crown Point International Airport is relatively small. An hourly bus service helps visitors reach several destinations on the island. The closest Masaajid to the airport is the Masjid Al Tawbah in Scarborough.
