There are no prayer rooms inside any of the existing terminals; however, once the new terminal opens in 2010, a prayer room will be available for worshipers. Until then, travelers will need to commute outside the airport to the nearest masjid, located near NH8 Highway, in the vicinity of Aps Colony 11.5 kilometers away from the airport (35 minutes drive).

Terminal 1 Prayer place, also known as the inter faith room, is located on Arrival level at West End (1A). Close to the domestic arrivals. It has prayer mats and the Qiblah direction is clearly marked. Jumuah prayers are also conducted here on Fridays. There are washrooms located close by for Wudu.

There is an interdenominational prayer room located on T1 and specific directions to these destinations can be received by the information desks located in each terminal. There are clean toilets throughout the terminals where ablution can be performed.
The closest mosque to the airport is around 10 Km and about 10 minutes away. It is located on Salvador de Madariaga called Centro Cultural Islamico.Prayer Rooms @ Colombo International Airport
There a few of mosques on the way to the Airport from Colombo. If you are traveling on a hired transport, the driver will be able to find a mosque for you. However only a limited number of Mosques in Sri Lanka have convenient facilities for prayer and Wudhu for females.

Prayer Rooms @ London Heathrow Airport
Heathrow has multi-faith prayer rooms located in each of its five terminals. All of them cater to the needs of both male and female worshippers. The airport’s chapel, situated centrally between Terminals 1,2 and 3, includes a multi-faith prayer room (open 07:30 - 20:00). One can reach the chapel by using stairs opposite the entrance to the Terminal 2 short stay car park. The multi-faith prayer room is located at street level, above the main terminal building. Jumuah Prayers are performed here at 13:00 on Fridays.

Terminal 1: A prayer room is located in the departure lounge, near Gates 14.
Terminal 2: A prayer room is located in the departure lounge, near Gates 18 and 19.
Terminal 3: There are 2 prayer rooms, on the first floor in the arrivals area and after security control in the departures lounge.
Terminal 4: There is a prayer room in the departures area, between Gate 1 and security control.
Terminal 5: Multi-faith prayer rooms are also provided in Terminal 5, both before and after security. They are situated in the check-in area before security control, in the departures area near Gate 7, and in Terminal 5b.
However doing wudu is a challenge since it does not have proper facilities to wash your feet. The good news is there are "wudu stones" inside some prayer rooms so that you could do Tayammum (dry ablution).
In addition, there is a mosque in Hounslow; the journey from the airport can take around 15-20 minutes by taxi.

The nearest mosque from Brisbane Airport is the Lutwyche Mosque located on 33 Fuller Street, Lutwyche. It is 12 kms / 14 minutes away from the airport. The mosque is predominantly Indonesian, has adequate restrooms and parking is also available.
