Chile is a South American country with a long narrow strip along the Pacific Ocean. It shares borders with Argentina to the east, Peru to the north, Bolivia to the northeast. Chile has a total land area of 756,096 sq km.

A population of close to 17.2 Million. Muslims account for about 0.1% of the population.

Chile has four seasons in most of the country. From December to February is Summer, autumn is from March to May, winter is from June to August and spring is from September to November.

Introduction to Chile

Visitors to Chile are often amazed by the exotic beaches, lakes, natural geysers and numerous islands that can be seen all across the country. Chile is also one of the most progressive nations with several international companies opening their offices in the capital city of Santiago.
Muslims are a minority population in Chile. The country has quite a number of Islamic organizations and Masaajid. Some of the most prominent Masaajid include the Muslim Society of Chile and As-Salam Masjid in Santiago, the Bilal Masjid in Iquique and the Mohammed VI Cultural Center in Coquimbo.
Placed between the Andes and the Coastal Mountain range of the country is the capital of Chile, Santiago. It is a cosmopolitan city and its central location makes it one of the best bases to explore Chile. The city presents several shopping opportunities especially along the Alameda Boulevard. There are numerous architectural wonders that visitors would love to see especially sites such as the palaces and plazas. A number of day trips can be planned from Santiago especially to the skiing areas. Valle Nevado is a good area for skiing between the months of May and October. Some of the country's best ski slopes can be accessed by taking a short drive from the city, though the snow only sticks around between May and October.
