Masjid Negara, the national mosque of Malaysia
Located in the Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia is one of the biggest Mosques of Malaysia, the Masjid Negara; the national mosque of Malaysia. As was the case in of Masjid Istiqlal of Jakarta, this mosque was also built as a thanks giving for the countries independence.
Completed in 1965, the Masjid can accomodate a congregation of 15,000. It has facilities for females as well. Surrounded beautiful gardens, it has a unique modern design with a 73-metre-high minaret and an 18-pointed star concrete main roof.
Masjid Negara is a must visit on a to KL.
