GEOGRAPHY

Located towards the eastern extreme of the Himalayas mountain range Bhutan lies in between China and India. The country has a land area of 38,394 km².

A population of close to 0.7Million. Muslims account for about 5% of the population.

CLIMATE

Bhutan's climate is varied as its altitudes. Winter is very cold , the temperature can reach -6°C which will be during December to March. Summer time the temperatures reach an average of 25 °C.

Introduction to Bhutan

Travelers will definitely love to explore the astonishing mountains and valleys and the exceptional culture of the country. Before visiting Bhutan visitors are required to pre-plan their travel and register with a government approved guided tour agency.
However the plus point is that visitors do not have to travel in groups and can plan their own itinerary.
The capital of Bhutan, Thimphu is set in the Thimphu Valley and is surrounded by fantastic mountains. The National Folk Heritage Museum and the Textile Museum are good places to visit in the city.
Spend some serene time at the Takin Preserve at Motithang, which is home to the Drupa Kunley, the national animal of Bhutan. The Botanical Gardens are located on a hillside and preserve flora indigenous to the area.
The Coronation Park in the city center is an expansive park located by the river and good to enjoy a serene time. Jakar is another picturesque town with beautiful scenery and landmarks worth visiting.
