The Halal Food Culture of NYC

One of the best things about eating in New York is that you can easily find food that will fit into your budget

In the past few years, the halal food culture has grown exponentially in New York and is right upscaling dining to halal food carts. There are numerous options for halal friendly dining.

If you are looking for a quick snack or do not have enough time to make a reservation, these halal carts offer a variety of cuisines and that to in a short period of time. These days you can see long queues in front of these carts all waiting for the delicious kebabs, burgers and falafel sandwiches. The most famous Halal food cart is known as the 53rd and 6th Halal Cart, named after where it is located, created by the 'Halal Guys.' It usually opens around 7:30 and stays open till past midnight!

Many of these halal carts can be seen in Manhattan and also a few in the Chinatown section of Flushing in New York. Whether you are looking for Middle Eastern cuisine, Persian delicacies, Turkish gastronomy or Pakistani and Indian food, you can find a wide variety in the halal restaurants in New York.

Halal assurance of most of these establishment are by the owners themselves. If you are not sure, do not hesitate to confirm with the owners.
