Ibn Battuta travelled up the Nile Valley to reach the port of Aydhab on Red Sea. The Red Sea was one of the important trade routes for Muslims during the 14th century. The coast of Red Sea in Egypt runs from the Gulf of Suez to the Sudanese border.

The Red Sea is a truly exotic destination and houses mystic coral and reef formations and a whole world of sea creatures. All along the coast there are lovely resort towns from where you can admire the beauty of this stunning sea. Some of these towns include Sharm El Sheikh, Ain Sukhna, Hurghada, Taba, El Gouna, Dahab, Makadi Bay, etc.

There are a number of exclusive diving sites along the coast of Red Sea. It is among the most sought after destinations in the world. Diving sites such as Ras Mohammed, Dolphin Reef, SS Thistlegorm, The Brothers and Elphinstone are some of the famous sites for diving.

The famous beach of Sharm el-Sheikh is a popular travel destination. The Al Salam Masjid is the main masjid in the city. Mount Sinai is not very far from the town and can be visited easily. Shopping opportunities are abundant in Sharm el-Sheikh. The Sharm Old Market and Namma shopping centre are excellent places to shop.

Dahab is another popular town for diving and windsurfing. Enjoy time along the Lagoon and Old Port Dahab. There are several popular sites for diving in the town. The Al Rahman Masjid is the main masjid in the town. Shopping can be enjoyed at the Ghazala Market.

Ain Sukhna has beautiful beaches providing activities for the entire family to enjoy. Travellers can have fun doing activities like snorkelling, swimming, parasailing, fishing, wind surfing, etc.

Hurghada is also a stunning destination for travellers to enjoy water sports. El Gouna is also a wonderful resort community featuring attractive activities and fun things to do.

With amazing combination of the desert on one side and glittering golden beaches on the other, Red Sea offers many great visuals for the visitors.
