Adorned with natural beauty that Croatia is one of the most amazing places; it has everything that can make your stay eventful and exciting. The captivating castles, stately Roman ruins, and pristine natural parks are the highlight of visiting Croatia.

 

The capital of Croatia, Zagreb is by far the most fascinating city in the country. The beautiful architecture and an array of museums and art gallery impress visitors. Zagreb features a very lively café culture and visitors can find a variety of cafes lined along the streets. Throughout the city historic monuments can be seen  and are considered reminders of the past. The Museum of Art and Crafts preserves the traditional Croatian craft. Admirers of art can visit the Mimara Museum which houses a collection of art and sculpture.

The city of Zadar is a special visit; in the past the city was one of the most important coastal centers and visitors can enjoy strolling around the cobbled streets and the beautiful town center. Just to the north of Zagreb is Zagorje where travelers can discover the ancient Veliki Tabor and Trakošćan castles.

One of the main ports of Croatia, the city of Split will take you back in history. The historic city center has been built to surround the Diocletian's Palace. Visitors will be delighted to discover ancient Roman relics at the Archeological Museum and the old colonies that still exist in the city.

 

The islands of Croatia allow visitors to enjoy some adrenaline rushing water sports. Whether it is sailing, diving or island hopping, you are free to enjoy a range of exciting activities. Croatia also has some exotic national parks that have preserved the wilderness of the country. The Mljet National Park, Kornati National Park and the Krka National Park present travelers with thrilling activities to enjoy.

Croatia has some exclusive handcrafted items and jewelry that visitors can shop for. Look for some beautiful glass jewelry in the stalls in Zagreb. The open-air markets in the cities and towns of Croatia sell fresh produce and local handicrafts.

Islam was introduced in Croatia by the Ottomans. Today Muslims are a minority in the country, however there are quite a few masajidhs. The masjid in Zagreb is the largest in Europe. Visitors can also find a few halal restaurants across Croatia. The food in Croatia is quite diverse and visitors will love to gorge on some delicious meat and fish. Most visitors to Croatia prefer hiring a car so that it is easy for them to access favored destinations. If not then you can opt for traveling by train or buses. The country features an excellent network of buses and trains make an inexpensive means of traversing in the country. Domestic airlines also connect the major cities; however it can be an expensive affair.
