15th June 2010 : Crescentrating.com, the world leader in providing "Halal Friendly" rating for travel & tourism services and facilities, and Irhal.com, the leading online Islamic travel portal in the Middle East, today announced a strategic alliance.

The agreement initially calls for the listing on irhal.com of all hotels that have been rated by Crescentrating's Halal Friendly hotel rating, with further collaboration envisaged in the future between the two companies.

With the Halal Friendly travel market emerging as one of the fastest growing segments in the travel industry, this alliance between the Singapore based Crescentrating and Dubai based Irhal will further increase the awareness of Halal Friendly travel facilities and services.

UAE based City Seasons Group of Hotels has been recognised by Crescentrating which supports halal friendly travel & tourism and awarded a Crescentrating rating of five for its halal friendly services and facilities.

Crescentrating was launched to support the development of a halal friendly travel and tourism sector and is a rating standard which rates hotels on a scale of one to seven based on their halal services and facilities.

Singapore, 26th March, 2010 - Crescentrating just announced its participation at ATM Dubai 2010. A pioneer in the development of the Halal Friendly Travel & Tourism sector, it launched the world's first Halal Friendly Rating standard for Travel and Tourism services & facilities at ITB Asia Travel show in October 2009.

Crescentrating.com website allows online booking of Crescentrated Halal friendly hotels & tours, provides destination guides, airport guides, restaurant guides etc to cater to the unique needs of the Muslim traveller. The website also provides information and tools for the Muslim travellers like the Qiblah locator, prayer time calculator, etc. It plans to expand this to include many other useful information, advice and opinion for the Halal conscious travellers. As for its Hotel Crescentrating program, it has already attracted Hotels from Asia and Middle East.
