The capital of Canada and considered as one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, Ottawa holds its unique position in Canada

Located about an hour away from the border of America, Ottawa offers promising attractions and several interesting things to do. The city is home to people from different cultures and is the fastest growing city in North America. Over the years, Ottawa has developed from a quiet town to one of the most vibrant cities.

Ottawa has a considerable population of Muslims and finding a Masjid in the city is not very difficult. Visitors can take the help of locals to locate a Masjid. The Ottawa Masjid, also known as the Ottawa Muslim Association, is the main Masjid in the city.

Ottawa is home to an array of museums and art galleries. Some of the main museums in the city that are worth visiting include the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the Canadian War Museum, National Gallery and the Diefenbunker Cold War Museum. The Parliament Hill houses the beautiful neo-gothic Parliament Buildings. The Rideau Canal is an excellent recreational place during both summers and winters. The canal is good for cruising during summers and for ice-skating during the winters.

Ottawa also has a number of theaters where you can enjoy exclusive performances. The city hosts a number of festivals all around the year. Several visitors prefer making day trips to Quebec. Take a cruise along the Ottawa River and enjoy fabulous views. For those who enjoy outdoor fun, the Gatineau Park across the Ottawa River is great to enjoy cycling, rollerblading and walking.

Ottawa is a great place to shop. Regardless of what you are looking for, the shops in Ottawa have something for everyone. The Sparks Street Mall is a wonderful pedestrian mall where travelers can find great souvenirs. Glebe and Westboro are also nice shopping districts in the city. Other places to shop include the ByWard Market, Bayshore Shopping Center, Rideau Center and Bank Street Promenade.

There are numerous halal restaurants in Ottawa where visitors can dine. Whether you are looking for Turkish food, traditional Middle Eastern cuisine or South Asian food, you can find a variety of options that are available at these halal restaurants. There are several coffee shops across the city. If you are looking for vegetarian food there are quite a number of choices.

Ottawa has a good public transport system, there are several buses running across the city. The downtown area is quite walkable. Taxis too can easily be found in the city. Car rentals are also available in the city. Parking is available at most of the attractions and shopping areas of the city.
