Featuring beautiful landscapes, Walloon is the French-speaking Southern part of Belgium

The Walloon region is filled with historical and cultural wealth. With its numerous attractions and serene lifestyle, Walloon is the perfect place to spend a holiday. From the Ardennes Mountains in the South to the beautiful hills and the green, fertile plains, Wallonia offers numerous opportunities of enjoyment.

The capital of the region Namur is home to the Citadel of Namur, from where visitors can enjoy exclusive views of the city. The economic and cultural centre of Wallonia, Liege is popular across Belgium for its chocolates and delicious waffles. Liege also hosts a number of cultural events and folk festivals across the year. Visitors can enjoy wandering around the 16th century Palace of the Prince, a mesmerizing place that details the history of the city and its rulers.

Another beautiful city is Charleroi that has a number of interesting museums. The Glass Museum is a special visit that takes visitors into the details of the glassmaking industry. Catch up on an exclusive exhibition at the Museum of Photography. Walloon is filled with numerous castles and historical sites including theme trails. Walloon is dotted with numerous castles that are worth seeing. Almost every village has a castle or two that you will cross by.

Shopping around Wallonia can be fun. The markets are vibrant and offer fresh fruits, vegetables, expensive clothes and delicious chocolates. Liege has some great places to shop. The city centre of Liege has excellent shops.

The Walloon region has a few Masaajid and halal restaurants. Some of the Masaajid in the region include the Salam Masjid in Namur, Camii Masjid Abdul Hamid in Charleroi and the Islamic and Cultural Centre of Liege.

Getting around Wallonia is best if you rent a car. The cities are conveniently connected by buses. When within a city, you can travel by bus, take a taxi or a hire a car.
