The Stadtpark or the City Garden of Vienna serves as a link between the city center and the third district

Every entrance to the park offers a different environment. Visitors who approach the park from the Stadtbahn railway pavilions are able to see the Viennese Art Nouveau; those who enter the park from the third district can walk across a hilly part of the park and can see a contemporary steel sculpture by Donald Judd. Those who enter from the Ringstrasse follow different shady paths to pleasantly reach the airy park meadows and the famous monument of Johann Strauss.

A small branch of the River Donau, the River Wien passes through the park. The two sides of the river are connected by a pedestrian bridge from which you can enjoy great views of the Wienflussportal, elegant pavilions that are designed in the Jugendstil style. The Kursalon is the largest structure in the Stadtpark city garden and is used for holding concerts.

The Stadtpark is known for having some wonderful monuments especially statues of famous composers such as Anton Bruckner and Franz Schubert. The Johann Strauss Memorial created in 1921 is a major attraction in the park. Apart from the statues, there are also numerous fountains fitted in the park. The oldest fountain in the park is the Danube Woman fountain. There is also a fountain group called as 'The Liberation of Spring' was built in 1903. A recent fountain Vogeltrankebrunnen with penguins was created by Mario Petrucci in 1953.

There are a few Masaajid within a 2Km radius of the park. Visitors can also find a few halal restaurants near the vicinity of the park.
