GEOGRAPHY
Yemen is situated on the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula between Oman and Saudi Arabia. It has an area of 527,970 square kilometres and a number of Red Sea islands.

A population of close to 24 Million. Muslims account for about 95% of the population.
CLIMATE
In the coastal regions the temperatures are generally high. With rainy summers, the average temperature is about 21 °C in the highlands while cool and dry winters with temperatures occasionally dipping below 0 °C.
LANGUAGES SPOKEN
Arabic the official language. Mehri and Soqotri are widely used as well.
