Jordan is a Middle East country situated in southwest Asia. It borders Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Israel. The territory of Jordan covers about 91,880 square kilometers.

A population of close to 6.4 Million. Muslims account for about 92% of the population.
CLIMATE
Hot summers and cool winters. During summer the temperature average about 32 °C (89.6 °F) and in winter (November-April) brings moderately cool and sometimes cold weather, averaging about 13 °C (55.4 °F).

Arabic is the official language. English is widely used as well.

Introduction to Jordan
Jordan, officially called the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is located in western Asia on the banks of the River Jordan and is relatively urbanized.A county with a long history, Jordan has seen several civilizations and has also served as an important trading centre during the Roman Empire. It offers stunning views of the desert, mountains and the sea.
Amman is the capital of Jordan and is also its largest city. Amman is the best base to explore Jordan. The city is built of white stone and has a few historical and cultural sites that impress travellers. West Amman is fairly more modern and east Amman houses residential areas.
The Citadel or Jabal al-Qal'a is located in the centre of the city. Towards the north of the citadel is the Ummayad Palace that offers excellent views of the city. The National Archaeological Museum in the citadel houses antiques from all over Jordan. The Roman Theatre houses a folk fare museum and a cultural museum.
The other historic places to visit include a Roman era Nymphaeum, Ammonite-era watchtower and Darat al Funun. The Rainbow street, close to Jabal Amman is excellent to take a walk. Travellers can enjoy a wonderful shopping experience in Amman. The Balad, Wakalat Street, Makkah Street, City Mall and Sharia Rainbow are some of the places worth shopping in.
