Established in 1974, the L.A. Mayer Museum for Islamic Art is a wonderful museum and a must-visit when in the city of Jerusalem The museum has a large collection of Islamic pottery, ceremonial objects, textiles, jewelry and other Islamic cultural artifacts. It offers visitors nine galleries, which have been organized in a chronological order, and takes visitors through yeares of Islamic art and civilization.

Located on the Bait-ul-Muqaddas in the Old City of Jerusalem is the Islamic Museum. The museum is positioned just adjacent to the Al-Aqsa Masjid and has a stunning collection of objects from different Muslim regions spanning for over 10 periods of the Islamic history.
