Guyana Halal food guide
The Muslim population of Guyana accounts to around 10% percent. Hence the scope for Halal market is also significant. Guyana has a few Halal restaurants. However, it is important that before eating, the authenticity of Halal food and services should be confirmed.
The food in Guyana reflects a marvelous range of cuisines from all over the world. Travellers can find a delicious range of Indian curries right from mutton, chicken, fish and prawns. From the African origins come dishes like foo-foo and metamgee or dumplings made of corn flour, yams, eddews, cassava and plantains, which is cooked in coconut milk and grated coconut. Chinese food can also be found at some restaurants in Georgetown.
However it is important that before dining it should be confirmed whether the restaurant serves alcohol or pork, as there are many outlets that serve partial Halal menus but also serve alcohol.

Hack's Halal Food: 5 Commerce Street, Georgetown, Demerara-Mahaica
They have a complete Halal menu and do not serve alcohol. They provide Indian cuisine, the owners of the restaurant are Muslims and they confirm that the food provided is Halal.
The Roti Hut: Albert Street and North Road, Georgetown, Demerara-Mahaica
They serve a complete Halal menu and do not serve any alcohol. It is a multi-cuisine restaurant and owners claim that the food served is Halal.
Madina Halal Restaurant: 143 Zeeburg W.C.D. Zeeburg, Guyana.
It is at a 30 minutes drive from Georgetown. he menu is varied and visitors can treat themselves to some delicious food. They do not serve alcoholic drinks in the restaurant and the full menu is Halal.
Halal Snackette: New Amsterdam, Guyana
They have a full Halal menu and also provide catering services. The owners are Muslims and claim to provide Halal home cooked food.
Halal Food in Singapore Hotels
There are two types of restaurants in Singapore Hotels serving Halal Food; Hotels which have a Halal certified restaurant and the Hotels where the restaurant serves food from a halal certified kitchen.
