Hong Kong overview
Hong Kong has always been a popular destination for business as well as leisure travelers. It offers a wide range of attractions, shopping sightseeing options for the visitors. Located on the south coast of China, Hong Kong is flanked by, the Pearl River Delta and South China Sea. The city is better known for its natural harbor and its modern skyline.
There are a few Masaajid on the Hong Kong Island and also in the Kowloon Peninsula. The main Masaajid include the Kowloon Mosque and Islamic Center, Jamiah Masjid, Masjid Ammar & Osman Ramju Sadick Islamic Center. The Jummah salaath is held between around 12:30PM. .
Halal restaurants in Hong Kong need to be certified by, the Incorporated Trustees of Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong. There are quite a number of Halal eateries in the region where travelers can dine.
There are many walking tours throughout the region including Architecture Walk and the Nature Kaleidoscope Walk. To get some stunning views of the Hong Kong Island travelers can climb the Victoria Peak. At the Peak is the Peak Tower, which apart from serving as an observation Platform also has shopping malls, museums and restaurants.
The city also offers several heritage locations throughout the area like Heritages in Central District, Ping Shan Heritage Trail, Tsang Tai Uk, Kowloon Walled City Park, Man Mo Temple and Fu Shin Street Traditional Bazaar and Stilt houses in Tai O.
There are a number of museums in Hong Kong based on different themes. The best museum in the city is the Hong Kong Museum of History. The other museums are Dialogue in the Dark, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Center, Hong Kong Maritime Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defense, Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences, Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Railway Museum, Madame Tussauds and the Law Uk Folk Museum.
The Lantau Island is a beautiful island to visit. Off the island live the Chinese White Dolphins. The Sai Kung peninsula is a beautiful place to visit. Other attractions include the Hong Kong Wetland Park, Lamma Island, Ping Chau, Cheung Chau, Tap Mun, Tung Lung Island and North East New Territories. There are also a few theme parks in the area like the Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park and Ngong Ping 360.
Madam Tussauds in Hong Kong underwent a major makeover recently. It now offers more than 100 wax likenesses of stars and world leaders.
A trip to Hong Kong is incomplete without visiting the beaches. Some of the popular beaches in the city are Repulse Bay, Middle Bay, Shek O, Big Wave Bay and the Hung Shing Yeh Beach. The Kowloon Park swimming pool complex offers visitors with a number of services and activities to enjoy. The city also provides a number of opportunities for hiking and camping.
Throughout Hong Kong travelers can find numerous shopping malls like IFC Mall, Pacific Place, Cityplaza, Harbour City, Elements, Citygate Outlet, Times Square, etc. Some of the street markets in the region are the Ladies Market, Apliu Street, Stanley Market and Nam Cheong Street.
