Situated in the North Europe, Belgium is surrounded by the boarders of France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany and boarders the north sea. Belgium has an area of 30,527 sq Kilometres.

A population of close to 11 Million. Muslims account for about 6% of the population.

CLIMATE

Influanced by the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean Belgium has a temperate maritime climate like most of Northwest Europe. The average temp in the country is Aprox 9.8C (50F).

Introduction to Belgium

Belgium is divided into two sections namely Flanders and the Wallonia. The country features an urbanized atmosphere with a well-preserved history, which presents travelers with numerous opportunities to have fun during their visit.

The capital city, Brussels is definitely one of the main highlights of visiting Belgium. Despite the urbanization, the city has maintained its small town aura. From fabulous restaurants to fashionable shopping, Brussels has it all. The Grand Place and the Royal Palace are the most noteworthy places in the city. Visit Coudenberg, which is the archeological remains of a grand palace. Brussels also has a number of museums that are worth visiting. The Museum of Ancient Art has some beautiful art work on display, while the Natural Science Museum is known for its collection of iguanodons.
